How to stay warm in the winter

There are many recipes for a warming beverage. In winter it is especially important to choose the most suitable recipe to not only keep warm but also to protect themselves from the cold. In ancient books it is written that cooked food is first pleasing to the eye, then the nose and then the tongue.

The usefulness of this recipe is due to the properties of the main component of tea – ginger root. At the root contains vitamins A, B1, B2, C, microelements and minerals. In accordance with the philosophy of Ayurveda, ginger strengthens Yang energy, improves digestion and metabolism.

Bring water to a boil, add grated ginger and sugar. Strain, add the lemon (orange) juice, add pepper, mint (optional).

Drink a hot drink.

2. Berry punch

Punch is a cocktail with fruit juice and fruit pieces.


Half a Cup of cherry juice to heat it up without boiling, and pour into a special heated glass.

As an alcoholic beverage, rum is added.

To vary the recipe citrus slices assorted fresh fruit, spices.

3 . Mulled wine (from the German gluhende Wein – hot burning wine)

This drink is prepared on the basis of red dry and mild wine with spices.


red table wine – 75 ml

the infusion of strong tea – 100 ml

cinnamon and cloves to taste

To warm up to 70 degrees wine along with tea, add cinnamon, cloves, give a little brew. Drain. Drink a hot drink.

Prepared on the basis of strong alcohol drinks: vodka,whisky, rum, brandy.

In the classic version based on rum.


Boil the water to 100 ml and cooled to 70 degrees.

Add dark rum – 50 ml juice of half a lemon and 1 tsp honey. Stir well to dissolve the honey.

In the grog you can add ingredients such as lime, orange or citrus liqueurs. Instead of honey, use sugar, crushed caramel or fruit syrups.

From spices compulsory cinnamon, or to taste are added anise, cloves, nutmeg, Bay leaf.

5. Hot chocolate with rum and cinnamon

This is one of the most popular and favorite winter drinks.

The benefits of chocolate have long been known. Chocolate improves the condition of blood vessels, contains antioxidants and other nutrients.

milk or cream (10%) 250g

water 1 – 2 tbsp

To diversify the drink, adding in the milk, rum, brandy, liqueur. For the enrichment of aroma use cinnamon, vanilla. To decorate the drink used whipped cream and nuts.
